The asynchronous motor is one of the most widely used drives in industry, but for optimal performance, it requires proper control. There are several control methods tailored to different applications. Soft starters are the ideal solution for applications where the motor does not require speed regulation during operation. Soft starters:
- Reduce mechanical stress on the motor during startup,
- Protect the electrical network from high inrush currents,
- Ensure a safer and more reliable start, even if the motor is not heavily loaded (not suitable for heavy-duty starts).
